"Key Carrier" is a Coordinator-plus role with Manager-on-Duty authority.The Retail Key Carrier Coordinator posting at TJ Maxx Greenvale, NY ($18.50–$19.00/hr, the highest hourly in my sample outside of corporate) described an "elevated extension of the Coordinator role" with Manager-on-Duty work, opening/closing, register overrides, change orders, counting registers, making change, and bag checks. Key Carrier postings required 1 year retail + 6 months leadership. So at TJX, "Key Carrier" isn't a cashier with keys — it's a hybrid supervisor role.
